01 / METRO TO GANPATI DARSHAN

Where are you coming from?

Pune Metro’s recommended arrival stations to help manage festival crowds.

Line 1 · PCMC → Swargate

From Pimpri-Chinchwad

GET OFF AT

Kasba Peth

Travel towards Swargate from PCMC. Pune Metro recommends alighting at Kasba Peth for Ganpati darshan in the Peth areas.

Line 2 · Vanaz → Ramwadi

From Kothrud / Vanaz

GET OFF AT

Deccan Gymkhana

On the Vanaz side, travel towards Ramwadi and get off at Deccan Gymkhana. For darshan, use a station on this line instead of changing lines at District Court.

Line 2 · Ramwadi → Vanaz

From the Ramwadi side

GET OFF AT

PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation)

Travel towards Vanaz. The official advisory recommends PMC station for devotees arriving from the Ramwadi side.

The notice asks darshan visitors to avoid changing lines at District Court and also mentions Chhatrapati Sambhaji Udyan as an alternative. This is crowd-management advice, not an announcement that the interchange is closed.

Every 5 minutes during peak hours

The official notice specifies this frequency for 14–25 September 2026. It does not promise five-minute service all day or late at night, and does not define the exact peak-hour windows.

For example, extended service on 21 September runs until 2 am on 22 September. These are service operating hours, not the last departure at every station. Check the last train for your station and direction before setting out.

03 / AFTER DARSHAN

Plan your return before you go

Mandai: mainly for the return journey

Pune Metro asks visitors to use Mahatma Phule Mandai mainly for their return, rather than adding to arrival crowds. Separate entry and exit gates apply from 14–26 September 2026.

Choose your return station and train direction in advance. Use the official map to see whether you can return from a station on your original line. If returning from Mandai requires a change of line, check the map and ask station staff for guidance.
